The Ocean

The sea is said to have some rather curious qualities within its relationship to man. For some, the sea retains no past, nor any future, and in this respect, furnishes a great source of comfort to those who would set sail on its horizon. And yet it seems ironic that such a devastating force, which has hitherto claimed more ownership over this planet than any continent, should provide such a sense of haven. For me, the ocean represents a boundary line, my own haven-one that I need not ever venture beyond, because at the edge of this boundary, is home. And despite the sporadic storms that lay chaos to the coastline, I take it all as part of living.
