Space for Rent

There is a boundless drawing board for human potential that is the planet earth, where free reign is given to the development and growth of anyone who seeks to further their understanding and relationship to the cosmos. And as the days progress in this modern lifestyle obsession of acquisition and development, so does the intellectual assumption that dreams do become reality. Modern day living has been assigned to a new aesthetic of merging the obtained with the unobtainable. In a very real sense, it seems the earth is getting smaller and smaller. The prospect of expansion on that which already exists and developing that which has yet to be discovered lie at the threshold of this swelling, and in turn, the relentless flow of commercial opportunity-where the sky is no longer seen as the limit, but as the next step. When the dust settles, when the sun goes down, and at the end of the day when all is said and done, perhaps the first and last thing that will ever be developed will be our mind. In this project I seek to document the development of spaces that, though an innately asinine representation of confinement within confinement, still offer the reassurance to said thriving commercial giant that no rock has been left unturned. I hope to render a complete dominance of architectural possibilities, and, at the same time, an erasing of the assuaging isolation human beings so cherish that exists both in and out of thought.
