The “perfect shape” of contemporary physical human quality within imagery and persuasive advertising represents a false ideal of a fundamental form that has hitherto existed as an inapplicable source of cultural identity. For too long this ideal image of physical definition has harmed the mental health of the youth as well as the mature in more ways than can be counted…and yet, as a whole society continues to subscribe to the vogue construct of physical definition, all the while losing sight of their individual identity. One sympathizes, yet maintains the hypocritical and overpowering element that fuels the flame to this iconic trend that is the world we live in.

Suppose, however, that this were a perfect world, where the ideal body type was no longer valued and instead the values in society have subscribed to a new aesthetic…that of the importance of family, friends, and relationships…how would the “perfect shape” be redefined? Perhaps it would assume the identity of a more unified characteristic, one that everyone could relate to, one that everyone could see a little bit of themselves within.
